ALL ABOUT CLAIRE
Claire Johnson, an Illinois native born into a family of creative cooks, began her culinary career as a producer a buyer and founded an organic food co-op on Chicago’s north side. She relocated to Arizona in 1980 and became the head chef at the Blue Willow in Tucson, followed by cooking stints at the Oro Valley Country Club, Loew’s Ventana Canyon and CB Rye.
In 1986 Claire bought Dyna Cafe and transformed it into the present day Claire’s Cafe & Art Gallery. Since she originally trained as a silversmith, Claire’s appreciation of fine art is reflected in the restaurant’s food preparation and the art adoring the gallery walls.
Claire’s Cafe is renowned for it’s welcoming vibe, fabulous breakfasts and unique art and jewelry-all things Claire!
